Billing Methods
Depending on the type of matter, we use a number of different billing methods: hourly, fixed-fee, contingency-feeHourly Rates
With hourly billing, we keep track of all time spent and bill in .1/hour increments. New clients should be prepared to provide us with a suitable retainer which will be deposited in the firm's trust account and drawn from as time charges accrue. Any remaining balance is returned upon conclusion of our representation.Fixed-Fee
In some instances we establish in advance with the client a flat cost for our services. The flat fee is paid in full before we commence work.Contingency-Fee
There are certain situations which may require us to agree in advance on a fixed percentage to be paid to the firm in the event a recovery is made. Note that there is no guarantee that a recovery will be made in any given case -- past performance does not guarantee future success.Expenses
The client is generally responsible for all costs associated with the services rendered. We will often advance these costs on a client's behalf, but certain expenses may require pre-payment.Agents, Investors, Lenders…
